Going back to studying after a few years can be hard. But the fact that you are considering going to a business school proves that at some level you are mentally prepared for the next bout of hitting the books. And that journey begins with attending GMAT classes.
Many educational consultancies and academic counsellors offer a myriad of different products and services to choose from and choosing the right one to sign up with can be just as daunting as preparing your applications for business schools.
However, there are a few key points to note that can give you a clearer picture on who will help you make your MBA dreams come true. Here they are:
• They work for you AND they work with you - Find a place that is as committed to your dream as you are, if not more. Yes, such places do exist! Do your research. Find them.
• They know how to train all types of students - Whether you’re smart or not, cracking the GMAT is a function of time, perseverance and attitude. The exam is designed to test whether your management material or not, after all. So, find a GMAT center that accepts all types of students with varying aptitudes.
• They don’t bullshit you - They don’t make lofty promises that they cannot deliver upon. They keep your expectations real and they help you find the best overall outcome to better your chances in getting an admit. While this last point might sound harsh, not everyone is cut out to be Ivy League material.
